Tips to Conserve

  • Take the stairs when possible.
  • Use cold water when doing laundry and hang dry if possible.
  • Turn off the lights if you're the last person out of the room (yes, even classrooms!).
  • Take shorter showers and/or cooler showers.
  • Set your computer to sleep after 5 minutes of inactivity.
  • Turn off and unplug appliances.
  • Turn off the water when you're brushing your teeth.

Energy Champions

Each week during the Challenge we are highlighting an Energy Champion who is taking it upon themselves to lead the way in energy and water conservation. Whether it's walking through their building to turn lights and faucets off at the end of the day or simply reminding their coworkers to take the stairs, this is where we acknowledge the people that really make the Challenge a success!
